This ebay auction is for a pair of 3EB sunglasses used to market Blinded and they have Out Of The Vein imprinted on the sides; but I haven't heard about such a thing.... anybody know if there's an validity to these?
Ebay- 3EB Promo Sunglasses
We never are what we intend, or invent
I don't ever get into discussions about getting old, because I'm pretty sure I'm going to age like fruit.
Haha, I seriously doubt that validity of that. I think the old street team might've suggested something like that to promote the single, but I don't think any were officially made.

I specifically remember the street team promoting the album using sunglasses and muffins. Somehow.
Or at the very least, they suggested those methods.

I wonder how many people actually did anything like that?

Speaking of poor sales, I did a little poking around and it seems that Vanessa's album can officially be labeled a flop. I guess the album peaked at 33, and White Houses peaked at 86 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Funny, I remember a debate in the VC thread about whether or not this was a hit, and most people thought White Houses was going to be big enough to carry the album to respectability. Oops! Maybe Stephan is just mush and needs to go stand in the bathroom for a few years before he sets foot in a studio again.
Ok I don't really mean that.
White Houses: #3 on my iTunes playlist (i got iTunes in september) with 61 plays.

I would just like to state for the record that I said White Houses wasn't going to do anything at radio way back when. And everyone told me I was wrong.
Not that it isn't a pretty good song, it was just too "busy" for radio. And having an opening that sounds like Hoobastank's "The Reason" probably didn't endear it to DJ's.
Could these sunglasses be any cheaper, or what?
I'm so tempted to buy these things just so I can put a picture of me wearing them as my avatar.
You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your fucking fingers, and say "that's the bad guy."
Yep, I was told "it bombed" and that she's already been hooked up with new writers.Originally Posted by DangerDanger

To be fair, playing menage-a-release-date plays hell with an album's sales. We all know who's responsible for that...
And, although it's become sort of our universal rallying cry (read: scapegoat) around here, didn't the album suffer from woefully inadequate promotion? If I wasn't a 3eb fan I never would have known Vanessa was about to or had just released a second album...
i will do you one better with a top 5:Originally Posted by PUTthePASTaway

Fairytale of New York, Danger, NYLG, Burning Man, and SCL are all in my top 25, BTW, in that order.
