    The random 3EB sighting thread

Do we have a general thread for random stuff like this? A search didn't pick up anything...

    Currently on the tube.

Blue is being featured as the bumper music on CNBC's "Bullseye". Discussion and/or thumbs up/thumbs down will most likely follow during the "Whine and Cheese" segment at the end of the show.

The show is live so if you want to tune in, get a dose of 3EB and some financial discussion, go for it.

Hmmm... Well, at our school formal dance, they led off with Semi-Charmed Life. It was a pretty cool intro too, the DJ said "What say we kick it off with a little rock from Third Eye Blind?" and the drums kicked in. Other than that, not as much these days.

At my school in Halifax Nova Scotia, Sackville High be it
i'm the president of our students council. anyways, third eye blind is played every second week or so on the announcements and everytime people are asking "who sings that again" or "that song was rock man"
plus, it gives my day a good start to know i shared the love with a 1000 other poor rap listening ghettos, or shitty emo wannabe's

ALSO, our grad song this year may end up being "How's it gonna be"

I never thought about it that way, but HIGB would be a great song. It is sure a hell of a lot better than mine (Blink 182 - First Date)

    Wow.

What a tragedy. Mine was supposed to be Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance," which I liked, but some late ballot stuffing made ours Boyz II Men's "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday."

(Don't get me wrong, no knock on Boyz II Men but not that song for graduation.)

Mention of Stephan in the January 2005 Blender under the article How to Survive Your Rock-Star Marraige. At the end of the opening paragraph they rip on Stephan saying. How else to explain how semitalented Stephan Jenkins of Third Eye Blind landed both Charlize Theron and Vanessa Carlton in quick succession?

    So yea..

I had just turned on the television and I couldn't believe my eyes there was Stephan Jenkins. He was on C4, a music channel here in New Zealand and they were playing a show called MTV Cribs. I'm sure all of you have already seen the episode but I thought it was really cool, and a really good insight into Stephan's life. I've got my fingers crossed it will be replayed sometime.

In New Zealand we have 2 music channels and they never play any 3eb videos except for Never Let You Go and Semi-charmed Life, so it was good to see more 3eb content let's hope they can keep it up.

you can watch the episode again at http://www.dalvaswounded.com/

just go to "a/v room" and then go to "video" and Stephan on MTV Cribs is right there for your viewing pleasure.

My random 3eb sighting is thanks to a friend's story about an un-aired pilot from 1999 called "Heat Vision and Jack" directed by Ben Stiller, staring Jack Black and the voice of Owen Wilson as a talking motorcycle. I did some hunting on the net and found the whole episode and one of the scenes has a waitress backing up into a jukebox and when she hits it a skipping record of SCL comes on, and the "doot, doot, doot" part playing over and over and over again through the rest of the scene. Who knew that would be so damned anoying.

When I was in high school, we had to go to one of those gay presentations in the auditorium about how drugs are bad or some crap like that where they show you a corny movie that's supposed to relate to you. So, being the wonderful student I was, I decided to just get my CD player out and play some 3eb while pretending to watch.

Ironically, while watching the beginning credits, I caught that some of the music from the presentation was by none other than 3eb! Needless to say, I put my headphones away and enjoyed listening to quite a few songs off of Blue.

It was fun, and I still didn't pay attention to the presentation

You know when I was in high school, we had something similar to that too. However, it was a band who traveled the country and sang pop songs and told us not to do drugs. They played "How Its Going To Be", "Iris" by GGD, and they had some girls who sang that "its the way you love me" country song. I wasnt into 3eb back then, but remembering it now makes it cool...
