Upon first listen, they released the best three songs first, I think the rest is meh.

Song of the Siren is forgettable - I don't think SJ's vocals can carry a song anymore.
In the Fade is too much pop for me. I'm a big QOTSA fan, so I love that song, and this one it too far from the original for me to enjoy.
Blood Bank was a pleasant surprise.

I'll give it a few more listens though
I'll make do with none, I will blame no one
Slept on packing foam, I'll make it all my home

Ever since Tony left, I consider 3eb a Stephan Jenkins solo project (like he always did).

That being said, I think this is pretty great for what it is.

Song of the Siren is great, really hits those Red Summer Sun tour nostalgia feels all over for me.
    In The Fade is fantastic.

I feel like the master job on Joke is far superior to the single version, it sounds great.
I love the little intro on this version.

I love this album. I think they absolutely nailed it. The songs sound fresh and full of energy.

I was really surprised with 'This isn't our parade'...it's much more lively and fun compared to the original.

Wait...Joke has a different intro than the single? Does it still have the talking? The talking in the beginning of that song is the only thing I don't like on this EP.

Huh! Pleasantly surprised. I'm digging about half of this! I too have never heard any of these songs in their original forms. So I have no reference for what they're "supposed to sound like".
As far as 3eb tunes go: "10" & "In the Fade" sound pretty damn awesome! They got energy and are pretty catchy. I agree with misfyt on the level of the guitars in the mix on "10". Those babies need to be LOUDER!
"Fuck Forever" is some fun shit as well!
"Joke" - I really like how the chorus sounds. Jury's still out on the rest of the song tho.
The rest of the tracks are pretty "meh" to me so far. But a few more spins of this are necessary for sure.

Really liking this album, especially that I've never heard any of these songs before the first listen, although I'm a fan of QOTSA.

They sound very 3EB. In the Fade is so mid-90s summer.

The only little problem I have with these covers is that I went and listened to the originals after and the arrangements are pretty the same. 3EB just rock them hard and louder.

I was expecting some of them to have a whole different arrangement, like they did with Mine.

    I like them.

Song of the Siren and This isn't Our Parade are standouts to me right now

This Isn't Our Parade is by far the stand out for me. I could take or leave the rest, and by that I mean mostly leave.

I love this album as well. It's too bad it's all covers, but considering I'd never heard any of them before, they are all fresh to me.

Now if they could just grab what they have done here and turn it into an original full-length album, that would be fantastic.

This was a nice surprise. As usual the vocals are too loud and guitars not loud enough, but definitely some pretty awesome parts throughout the whole thing. Nicely done!

Love Song of the Siren. Beautiful reverb on the vocal and an interesting arrangement for acoustic guitar.
In the Fade is super catchy.
    I also enjoy Fuck Forever.

Not going to lie, I'm pretty pumped on this little bundle of tracks.

Listened to it a couple of times, Joke is decent and gets stuck in my head. The rest pretty forgettable except "Fuck Forever," I wish I could forget that.

    Pitchfork review: https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums...h-dream-songs/

It's amazing how the wannabe "indie kids" find ways to hat on 3eb no matter what. It was a terrible review IMO. The only truth is the over production, but that's just how 3eb sounds.

Not bad, but I only really like 3 of the songs:

    1. Joke - wow, what a cool song. the chorus is absolutely beautiful
    2. In The Fade - although I really like the original by QOTSA, this is completely different but I like it for some reason. really catchy and poppy, i'm diggin it
    3. 10 - pretty good song, my only complaint is the guitars are way too low in the mix

Actually really digging the majority of this after 10 or so listens. In the Fade is really fucking good.

Song of the siren, blood bank, and joke have been added to my playlist. Fuck forever is unbearable.

Half is good and half isa bit meh, but i guess that stems from that I don't know any of the original songs. Stephans vocals area bit loud in the mix too, sounds bit uneven

They always are too loud. Song of the siren is actually all time for me. Sounds like a song SJ wrote in his prime.

Agreed. Personally I could care less about the fact these are covers. I'm treating them all like new 3eb songs.

Except Fuck Forever. You're right. That shit really is unbearable. I may be stretching here but I'm tossing it in the bargain bin alongside 1in10 and About to Break.

How comes they changed it from "to" to "of"? Probably just a typo.

Just listened to a few different versions of this and Stephan's version is deffo my fav. Could of added a little bit of another instrument(s) synth to really make it a classic, bit how Persephone has the violin.

Huh. I guess we have almost opposite tastes in 3eb here. Siren, Blood, & Parade are the ones I skip. I like all the rest of the album.
Even tho Fuck Forever may be a throwaway lyrically, I really dig it musically. And the chorus is big and the "oooh's" in the background... I dunno just work for me. *shrug* Who knows. :P
