I really dig this one! Joke will probably be the best song on the album ... I hope not!

Joke is great in a way that Eyes for You was for me. It’s happy and uplifting in a grand melodic way. Very early ‘90’s. So it’s derivative in its original form too, but I love it.

then again I love most of what they’re putting out in this iteration of 3eb.

I actually really like the song. The lyrics are far from his best but I respect that he made a song about police brutality and racial injustice in America, especially in such literal terms so that nothing is lost in interpretation. It's not usually what I want from a band I consider a favorite, as it's not timeless like anything on ST-Blue-OOTV and some of the rest of their catalog, but it's still important in terms of history. Silence is complicity.

    Fair enough.

It’s far better that “1 n 10”, with a good hook. I’ve commented on the song before. How it ridiculously promotes bad behavior in school. It unintentionally gives an example of why schools suck so bad in many areas. Selfish, undisciplined kids, destroying the learning environment because they don’t respect themselves or others.

SJ is a lot like President Trump. He says a lot of stupid things but the end result of his policies I mostly like. I didn’t vote for him to lead my favorite band, but the band is doing good things under his leadership.

    Brad: Now I don't know!

    Tony: Standing up for you!

SJ: One in ten it is!

I love 10 ... but dislike how the song was recorded! ... man I would love to hear the guitars more loud, it seems like someone hide the sound of the guitars in a room! weird .. :S

Just what Third Eye Blind needs -- another "10" song in their catalog. They already have:

    • Ten Days Late
    • One in Ten
    • Ten Hundred Julys

I disagree. I think they need exactly six more.

I really like the songs we've heard from the Covers EP. I didn't know any of the songs before 3eb covered them, so they'll just be 3eb songs to me.

Plus there aren't any tater tots or flat screen tvs. Everybody wins!

I have never heard any of these original songs before, but Joke is awesome. Great sound!!

Also...Can someone tell me if the title of the EP called "Thanks for Everything" is an omen to the end of the band? Or am I just reading too much into the title?

There's no way Jenkins would end the band and not make a huge deal about it or milk it with a tour and press stuff.

Thanks for everything is saying thanks to the bands who they are covering as they are inspirational to them??

The EP is now available in NZ. Blood bank is my favourite track. Overall itís not bad, will give it a few spins and thatís about it I think. Bring on some originals I say.

    In the Fade is fantastic.

Song to the Siren is much better than I expected. I thought he would push himself to hit some of those notes but it turned out nice.
