At this point I'm actually glad they didn't finish the EP. They get more time to realise how terrible would have been to make that kind of music. If Stephan wants to record these political nonsense songs, then he should release them separately, like he did with If There Ever Was a Time. Don't put that crap on official LPs and EPs.
The article below from Billboard has a bit more information on the new album and the process.
Billboard Article on Summer Gods
This is all I could take from that article:
"There's already some new music written," Salazar says. "We have some stuff sort of sitting around. I'd definitely give it a shot. Kevin's super-prolific. I don't know what form it'll take or what we'd call it, if it should have a better name. But I'd like to make music with Kevin and Tony if we wanted to, so we'll see what happens."
I'll make do with none, I will blame no one
Slept on packing foam, I'll make it all my home
Julietta, one of the songs that leaked recently, was played at soundcheck the other day. It was refered to as a new song, so it might end up on the EP!
Agree, Blair. Really like "Hold me down". Without doubt the best song of the ones that were leaked. Hoping we one day get a studio version of it!
Hold Me Down and Bike Messenger need a new studio version, especially the former. That acoustic riff in the beggining of Hold Me Down is great. It sounds like a true 3EB song, circa Blue era.
Apparently there's a cover album in the works. Not sure if it means Summer Gods was scrapped or what.

Still nothing on Summer Gods the album, eh? Just as well, if it truly was going into that "trap" direction...
I'm running out of words, I'm running out of time.
So was it all worth the weight on my mind?
And I start to fall apart
And I'm hurt by what's inside
Was going to pick this up on vinyl but the record is $25 and the shipping is $26.50. Fuck that.
I ordered and paid it. So damn annoying as I have tried to add a couple of other things to justify the insane shipping cost. But it just increases substantially for every extra item added. So frustrating! But I have all albums on vinyl so couldn't stand the thought of missing out.
I’ve ordered it for the same reason smokey242.
I’ve realised that I can never be as agree with shipping charges as I was when I bought the tour book with the CD that was supposedly strictly limited and only available as a package.
They then released all the tracks on iTunes.
its $51.90 without customs and the £2.00 you'll get charged to convert to Pounds. Rough.
