I'm not going to lie, I was actually a little disappointed by this show. I traveled to San Francisco from Philly for the Marathon and was so excited that I would get to see the band on the last night of the tour while there. I was at the show in Philly a month ago and the setlist was exactly the same, minus them not playing AC in Berkely. The band and SJ had stated on twitter that it was going to be a special show closing the tour out in the Bay Area, so I guess I expected them to mix up the non-ST songs a little more, but it was exactly the same, right down to SJ's long speech at the end of Shipboard. Don't get me wrong, i had a great time and I think they sounded great and were full of energy, but I guess I just built it up a little more based on the circumstances.

I would say I don't think this is the tour to see multiple times. This was def' a tour for the masses. I enjoyed the Chapel show in April MUCH more.

any video of that? I couldn't find one on youtube.

I love QOTSA, and in particular, that's probably my favorite song of theirs.

If you look at the concert that was streaming 20 July on the band's facebook page, then you'll find it. The song starts when its 18 minute left of the video.

hmm, interesting take. Completely opposite sound vocally.

I think I'll remain partial to the original, but like that they didn't just cover it, rather gave a different vibe altogether.

    Thanks for posting

Looks like there's a live CD+book coming out Oct 5. Here's the tracklist:

    1) Weightless
    2) Company Of Strangers
    3) Horror Show
    4) Wounded
    5) Shipboard Cook
    6) Losing A Whole Year
    7) Narcolepsy
    8) Semi-Charmed Life
    9) Jumper
    10) Good For You
    11) I Want You
    12) Motorcycle Drive By
    13) God Of Wine

Weird that not all the S/T songs are on there.

I guess SJ doesn't realize The Background is one of their best songs. They left it off The Collection album too .

Edit: I've seen them 3 times and have never seen them play The Background or Motorcycle Driveby. Ridiculous.

Was at the Roundhouse London show last night. Bloody brilliant. SJ's birthday and it looked like he loved every minute of it. The crowd sang him happy birthday...

Manchester last night was amazing - even better than they were two years ago.

We were about 3 people back from the front - behind Mac, can’t mistake the hat - and loved it.

Even got a set list at the end.

Seemed like the crowd were into it from the first song even though the smoke and no lights pointing at the stage was a bit weird.

Was at show - rough order of set list:

    Red Star
    Narcolepsy
    Wounded
    Faster
    Semicharmedlife
    1000 July's
    Company of Strangers
    London
    Dopamine
    Graduate
    Back 2 Zero
    Another Life
    Slow Motion solo
    How's It Gonna be (solo)
Why Can't you Be (Brad, SJ, Kryz)
    Motorcycle Driveby
    Jumper

    Encore
    Never Let You Go
    Bonfire - SJ Solo, unplugged

Heaviest set list I've seen them play - all rockers to start show. Sounded great. Was weird venue..tiny town in Wisconsin on a Sunday night. 3/4 full of 2,000 seats. SJ far less talkative than usual (which was fine with me). Just rocked out for a solid 100 minutes.

I did but haven’t listened or looked as it’s meant to be a Christmas present.

Couldn’t believe the $30 postage and my eyes watered even more when there was 15 of customs charges when it arrived as well!

So I bought the tour CD and it just arrived. And then I realized it's been nearly 10 years since I bought a CD and I don't have any devices that read CDs.
