The next morning, and it is a little blurry! What a great show! I thought it was amazing! And all the people stating that The Concert Cove is in the middle of a parking lot, not true. I thought vocally, Stephan and the rest of the band sounded awesome.
Best part of the show for me was probally 1000 July's or God of Wine. The whole show was great. I got to the cove early, around 6pm and waited until almost 7pm for the gates to open. We camped out front left in front of Tony. I have to say, the THUNDERKATZ shocked me, they were pretty good. Not a Rap group, but more od a hip-hop/rock band. Anyway, I was suprised how good they sounded.
After the show, we had backstage passes and waited for about 30 minutes for anything to happen. Then, Leo, Tony, and Brad came out and talked to the 20 or so of us with passes. Of coures, no Stephan. All 3 of them were kind and very attentive to the fans... I also must say that Leo is a great addition to the band. He rocks his ass off on the bass and reminds me ofTony when it comes to the fans......... My Fiancee' and I got our pics taken and then headed back deeper backstage. I have heard horrible things about Stephan and the fans, but he was AWESOME. He spoke to us for about 25 minutes and discussed his Midwest connections. He signed my CD's and was very chatty. Even when I tried tp walk into the private room, he asked to please not go in there. I was in there earlier with Brad and Leo and tried to walk in again without them, and well, Stephan called me out. Not rudely, just told me that ....................." you can't go in there" .
Great show, great meeting the band!
- Brads and Tony's Solo's were fucking awesome
-The last time I saw Tony, he was heading to the Casono with Asif, so Tone, I hope you won!!
