Update on TVCY Compilation II

Thomas dropped me a line asking to me to post a mini update, here's what he had to say:

The second TVCY Compilation album deadline has been pushed back to July 14th. A few people have messaged me and said they need some more time. In order to keep the album and double album, one of covers, and one of originals, I decided to set the deadline later. I am still taking submissions, and will be doing so until the 14th of July. That leaves 10 days for all you musicians. Also, I have an idea to include some of you non-musical 3eb fans in this compilation. If there is anyone who wants to do some artwork for the compilation, then feel free to send it in to me. As far as content, I'm not sure what we can do, but if you want, we can ask the musicians to send in pictures of themselves (decent, of course) and meld it into one nice collage. Or you can do some cool fontstuffs with the village church yard. Hell, you could go out and find a churchyard somewhere and take pictures of it, then edit it up. Possibilities are endless. PM me if you are interested. If more than one person is interested we can split it up between the originals cd and the covers cd. Also, If you are interested, PM with ideas for the name of the album. Otherwise it will be "In the Village Church Yard II". I will put the ideas in a poll thread, and you guys can vote on what you like. Have fun in the next 10 days with this album.

I need a couple more days to finish recording my cover. Will I be too late if i send it on the 16th. I was trying to finish it by today but it's just not going to happen.:uhoh:

I am completely done my original and am 60% completed on my cover (which is sounding pretty sweet by the way, imo). Was scrambling late last night to finish but it wasn't happening and I will also not be able to make the deadline. Vox sound TERRIBLE right now and I can't figure out where my voice went in the last couple. I understand completely if the deadline will not be extended, just thought I'd give a heads up. If I miss the comp, I will post the cover on the forums anyway for all to enjoy (hopefully, it is pretty, um, unique?) and criticize.

Sheesh, didn't know jenkin's disease was so highly contagious. :rolleyes:

I wish I could have participated in this, but recording into a $20 mic doesn't do it for me. It's disappointing because the song I was working on was probably my best one. The one I did for the 1st compilation was more of a lay-back-chill type of song, and this one was more upbeat and rocked a lot harder. Maybe it'll be done by a third compilation if there is one.

I really can't wait to hear everyone's stuff though. This is going to reek of pure "awesomeness". ;)

i might be able to make it happen by tomorrow, tho i'm recording right now and i haven't even started the leads and i have 4 open tracks left. i could make this really tight if i have til the 16th. hook us up with a pushed back deadline... this is a 3eb site after all

taking on two jobs and going to school has made the recording of my fourth album a little slower than anticipated.
Thus being the case, and since recording my own material is definitely higher on my priority list than recording a 3eb cover (however bad i truly wanted to)
I'd love to submit one of my originals from my last EP.
I know you said you don't want any material that is already available however.
I have one song that I've purposely never released to my core audience.

Blah I'm tired.
Long week.

I suppose its too late at this point anyway.

Sorry I just noticed these posts, I've been looking to the one in chit chat, and nobody has posted there. Had a real busy day friday. But today, I have everyones stuff, including a couple of late night submissions. I will send this thing to adam tommorow. It is going to be a Double Album, it's nearly two hours of songs. But I only received two cover songs. So I'll throw them in as well. Carter, if you send it in to me before, oh, we'll say 12 o clock tommorow, I can get it in the comp, same for GonnaLiveForeverBoy. But I am leaving for a Band camp tommorow afternoon. And I don't want to delay the release another week. And for your information, Mr. Wounded, I am teaching the band camp. It's a paying gig. But it will be up tommorow, come hell or high water. Thanks all you cool cats for taking part, even you lazy/procrastinating bums who couldn't get it done ;)

OK. I am uploading it to sendspace to send to Adam right now. I'd like to thank all you guys who participated in the Compilation. Thanks to Mike LeChance (Salazar3eb) for doing the bass parts for what was supposed to be a community song, but ended up being me and him, and another community memeber. Thanks to Adam for hosting as well. And thanks to Matt Zellmer (pezzonovante) for the art work. He supplied the picture and I edited it up a little. I think you guys will enjoy this album. I worked real hard yesterday and last night so I could get it to you today. It's is a double album. It's almost completely originals, save two covers. Well, I'm gone, so you guys rock it out loud. :rock:
