I play the intro wrong so I suck, but it's in B and it's probably in an alternate tuning.
it's like:
verse
E - F#
chorus
B - A - B - C#m
bridge
E - F# - Abm - B X4

I think the tuning is EADGCF

Kinda strange you found it on a geocities site eh? I usually don't have good luck with those homemand free server tab sites.

That tab is pretty good, but there are quite a few inaccuracies.
I haven't tidied it up properly, but here's a tab with all the Gorgeous parts.

Hey garry, don't mean to make this off topic but how close are you to completing all the tabs? Thanks again for doing it all from scratch, we all appreciate it greatly.

GarRy, are you sure that the 6th string is D, because like chag04 suggested, E seems to be the more logical choice.

What makes it more logical?
I play it in dropped D 5ths tuning (EADGCF is 5ths tuning) because it makes it generally easier to play. You could play it in EADGCF if you wanted to, but it's a lot easier to use one finger for a barred power chord than 2 or 3. Using a dropped D also makes the intro easier to play.
It's a matter of technique, really. I use my thumb a lot and so I go for D. But it'd sound just as good if you played using an E, and alter the tab accordingly.

I don't know, something about moving from holding the 5th fret on the 6th string to the 2-4-2-0 on the G just doesn't flow well with me. The transition's easier, at least for me, with the 6th string as an E.
It does just come down to preference, like you said, I just wondering if you knew what Kevin played for sure.

edit: same tab as a post above, but, link to the tabs the way kevin played them.

--usually it's strange--but it's kevin cadogan we're talking about here. he's bound to have crazy fans with loads of free time to make websites but don't have the money to buy a real .com. :uhoh: ;)

Just tune your guitar strings relative to the others.. Find the note on the string above that you need to tune to and change the string you need to. You can find tuners online that will reproduce the note you need and you can tune by ear.

I decided to put Nick's (Wild Dedcation) version of Gorgeous in standard in here. Go to chit chat to check out an audio clip. It sounds really good.

I'm pretty sure he did, The 1995 Demo was the first demo with Kevin, at least thats what I have always heard.

I was asking KC why in the Guitar Player article it had the tuning as EADGCF instead of the easier to play DADGCF. Here's the response as well a glimpse at the origins of Gorgeous:
Hey Kevin,
Just a quick question about Gorgeous. I was wondering why you didn't tune the low E down to D making the main riff easier to play as well as the chorus?
The 1-3-5 stretch is do-able but get's tiring after awhile. Is there another part of the song that isn't tabbed out in the Guitar Player issue that requires you to have the tuning EADGCF instead of DADGCF?
Well, I don't like the way the pull- off on the A string feels if I had to bar the third fret. Also on the chorus, maybe the tabs are wrong, on the first chord I am playing an E on the fifth string with my first finger, my second finger is playing a C on the sixth string, and my pinky winky is playing the C on the tenth fret of the fourth string. If I tuned the E down to D I would have to stick my third finger on the tenth fret of the sixth string. This feels akward to me. Also I think it just sounds cleaner this way and the main riff hurts so good. I think I had being playing Andy's amazing riff on "message in a bottle" and wanted to do something using those ninth's and those voicings.

Now that is pretty awesome... maybe we could get him to tab the whole song out the way that he plays it... straight from him... as well as a few other songs of his.

-Third Eye Blind-
Gorgeouse standard Tab
By-Matthew Cheetham (Cheetos)
Using combination of demo and live boot (of Cadogan playing)
The reason is because the demo and live boot are different. The live boot is a step higher than the demo. This makes it possible to play the live boot almost perfectly in standard.
Now I finally understand why I always thought that the demo was lacking- It was because it was a step lower than when they played it live. The live boot sounds so much better. So this tab is based mostly around the live boot- Allowing it sound freed up as you can use the open strings when you need etc. The proper notes are being played on the correct strings so you get the voicing of the notes sounding nice.
